Icelandic lifestyle brand Tulipop appoints Manifest New York to bring a sprinkle of Tulipop magic to the U.S.

Tulipop appoints Manifest New York

The Icelandic character based lifestyle brand, Tulipop, has appointed Manifest New York to help with its entrance into the United States.

The magical world of Tulipop is inhabited by quirky and colorful characters who appeal to all those who are young at heart. Its unique characters include Gloomy, the adventurous hyperactive mushroom girl and Fred, the furry smelly forest creature who wants to be scary but is too gentle to succeed. The Tulipoppers are all quite flawed but still lovable – just like humans.

The world comes alive in a variety of high quality products, ranging from collectible vinyl figurines and plush, to lamps, stationary and tableware.

The brand was founded in 2010 in Iceland by illustrator Signy Kolbeinsdottir and marketing mind Helga Arnadottir. With distribution currently in Europe, the duo now has their sights set on the U.S. and have tasked Manifest New York with announcing its arrival to the country with a bang.

Helga commented:

“Manifest New York came to us with ideas that were fresh, ambitious and perfectly represented our brand. These, combined with their energetic and passionate team, made them the perfect partner for Tulipop’s US entrance. We look forward to working with Manifest New York on launching the brand and taking it far and wide across America.”

Jessica Becker, Director of USA & Canada at Manifest NYC said:

“At Manifest, we seek brands that want to shake things up and change the rules of the game they play in. Tulipop, with its magical and absurd world, is doing just that. The world of Tulipop is both cuddly and gothic, stereotypes are challenged and anything goes. It’s pushing the boundaries of what a character brand can be, by appealing to both young and old, boys and girls. We’re excited to get our hands on it.”

Manifest New York will roll out a three-month campaign from January – March 2017 that will consist of traditional PR and social media.

Tulipop appointed Manifest New York because of the agency’s reputation for launching non-American brands into the U.S. Their knowledge of the U.S. media landscape and their creative take on campaigns makes the agency a perfect fit.

Manifest New York is part of Manifest Group, which also includes Manifest London and Manifest Stockholm. Named in the top three creative agencies in the world by industry commentator The Holmes Report in 2016, and the fastest growing independent agency in the UK by PR Week, the independent group plans to continue its international expansion with two further offices by 2020.

Cool. Show me more stuff like this.
