Manifest becomes the Global PR Partner for Glug
The team at Manifest love meeting new people, going out on a Thursday and having a few drinks, so when international ‘’Notworking’’ movement Glug started hunting for a Global PR partner, we JUMPED at the chance to represent the Glug family.
Glug’s mission is to champion creative communities around the world and it’s successfully brought the design and creative community together around the world through a series of events. Based around a series of talks and informal networking (Notworking) Glug has become one of the most exciting, credible and well attended creative events around.
Glug started in 2007, as a handful of mates talking shop in an East London pub. Nine years later they are now an international movement with events in 25 cities around the world, including London, New York, Stockholm, Dubai, Sydney and Berlin to name just a few.
Our very own Branding Design Director (Martin Farrar- Smith) currently hosts Glug Leeds and Big Bossman (Alex Myers – Director) recently featured as a speaker at the Glug & The Tech Off: Creatives Vs Coders – you can even watch him being booted off stage here.
We love being audience members at Glug, hosting and sponsoring our own local Glug meetups from our Manifest offices in Stockholm, New York and London as well as our own hometowns, whilst learning more about everything that’s going on in the digital and creative communities.
Luckily Glug liked us just as much as we liked them….
Now we’re happy to be sponsoring Glug internationally as their Global PR Partner, encouraging more people in the creative industry to sign up and host their own Glug events, sponsor and speak at events, ensuring that these events carry on, giving us a chance to come together and share knowledge and opportunities.
We didn’t choose the Glug life the Glug life chose us! #gluglife
Ian Hambleton, Glug Founder commented:
‘’Having Manifest join the Glug family as our Global PR sponsor will not only provide a joint push across communities and mutual support for continued growth, but it will also help our creative network go from strength to strength. We’re now in over 25 cities across the world – and we’re on a mission to cover even more in the next year.’’
Alex Myers commented:
“Glug is an incredible event and has been a major source of inspiration for Manifest for a long time. It’s exciting to become an official global partner as it continues to carve a unique and important position in the creative community across the globe.”
